Freshmen Year

My best memory from my freshmen year of high school is going to prom. It was a great experiencfe and I had a lot of fun. The most important thing I learned this year was to stay true to who you are. I also learned that if you want to achieve something you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone and really try. If I could give a freshman three pieces of advice for next year I would tell them  first, be friends with everyone no matter who they are. Second I would tell them to try their best. No matter how much you don't want to do your homework or study you really need to. The last piece of advice for freshmen next year is get involved in something. Being part of a group or team is probably the best thing you can do in high school.

"You Learn Something New Everyday"

When you are a child your parents always say "You learn something new everyday". In The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman that statement became true for me. While I was reading the novel I learned that once the slaves were free it wasn't just a big celebration. When I imagined this I imagined the slaves celebrating and moving on with their lives. I did not think about how they would survive on their own and move to new places. In the novel it talks about  how they moved to new places, like Jane, and some people decided to stay. I had never considered the fact that some of the people would want to stay and work on the plantations they had lived on. I guess my parents were right about learning something new!

True or False?

A stereotype is a assumption about a group of people. In The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman there are many sterotypes by the color of peoples skin. The God fearing Christian woman was a white person that hated blacks. This is a stereotype that all white people hate blacks. To prove that this is false Gaines showed us a character that was helpful to Jane and Nate. His name was Job. Job was a white man that gave them a place to stay, food to eat, and somewhere to work. This proves that the stereotype of all white people hated black people is false.

Say Yes to the Dress

Everyone should go watch my favorite television show called Say Yes to the Dress. Everyone should watch it because it shows people what it's like when you are wedding dress shopping. Some people think that weddings are all easy and fun, but this show shows that Weddings are not all fun and games. Even the simpliest things, like picking out a dress, can be very difficult.

Don't Be a Follower

An important lesson in Animal Farm is to be in the world, but not of the world. The pigs become the leaders of the farm, but that does not mean that the rest of the animals should follow how they act. Some of the animals(the sheep and Boxer) agree with what the pigs are doing and they go along with the pigs ideas. The animals agree with the pigs on what they do and follow their ideas and actions like sheep. Other animals like Benjamin are unchanged. He does not change who he is to conform to what the pigs are doing. The pigs kill the animals as punishment, and the other animals should not think that is right just because that is what the pigs are doing. The important lesson in Animal Farm is do not change who you are to be a follower of someone else.

" Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."-Mathew 12:2

Iam Most Thankful For My Family!

Iam most thankful for my family. My family has always been there for me, and I really appreciate that. Iam so thankful for my parents. They sacrifice so much for me, and it really means a lot. They have taught me so much.I really am Thankful for my parents. I love my sister so much. We may not always get along all the time, but she is still the sweetest person I know.Iam so thankful to have such a wonderful family to support me.

"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." Colossians 2:6-7

If I could choose the Characters...

If I were to make a film of Julius Caesar I would choose Channing Tatum to portray the role of Brutus. I would choose Channing because he is good at playing noble and strong characters like Brutus. He showed this in the movie "Dear John". I would choose Liam Hemsworth to play Cassius. I would pick him because he is good at playing characters that show one emotion but then show another. Cassius does this by agreeing to everything Brutus says, but on the inside actually disagreeing. The next actor I would want in my movie is Kellan Lutz. I would want him to play Antony. I would choose him because he is a great actory at being a tough yet gentle person. Antony is gentle towards the conspirators The last actor I would choose is Tom Felton. He is very good at portraying prideful characters. In Harry Potter his character was very prideful like Caesar. These are the four main characters and actors that I would use to play them.
Channing Tatum (Brutus)

Kellan Lutz(Antony)

Tom Felton (Caesar)
Liam Hemsworth (Cassius)
