Don't Be a Follower

An important lesson in Animal Farm is to be in the world, but not of the world. The pigs become the leaders of the farm, but that does not mean that the rest of the animals should follow how they act. Some of the animals(the sheep and Boxer) agree with what the pigs are doing and they go along with the pigs ideas. The animals agree with the pigs on what they do and follow their ideas and actions like sheep. Other animals like Benjamin are unchanged. He does not change who he is to conform to what the pigs are doing. The pigs kill the animals as punishment, and the other animals should not think that is right just because that is what the pigs are doing. The important lesson in Animal Farm is do not change who you are to be a follower of someone else.

" Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."-Mathew 12:2

Iam Most Thankful For My Family!

Iam most thankful for my family. My family has always been there for me, and I really appreciate that. Iam so thankful for my parents. They sacrifice so much for me, and it really means a lot. They have taught me so much.I really am Thankful for my parents. I love my sister so much. We may not always get along all the time, but she is still the sweetest person I know.Iam so thankful to have such a wonderful family to support me.

"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." Colossians 2:6-7

If I could choose the Characters...

If I were to make a film of Julius Caesar I would choose Channing Tatum to portray the role of Brutus. I would choose Channing because he is good at playing noble and strong characters like Brutus. He showed this in the movie "Dear John". I would choose Liam Hemsworth to play Cassius. I would pick him because he is good at playing characters that show one emotion but then show another. Cassius does this by agreeing to everything Brutus says, but on the inside actually disagreeing. The next actor I would want in my movie is Kellan Lutz. I would want him to play Antony. I would choose him because he is a great actory at being a tough yet gentle person. Antony is gentle towards the conspirators The last actor I would choose is Tom Felton. He is very good at portraying prideful characters. In Harry Potter his character was very prideful like Caesar. These are the four main characters and actors that I would use to play them.
Channing Tatum (Brutus)

Kellan Lutz(Antony)

Tom Felton (Caesar)
Liam Hemsworth (Cassius)

Julius Caesar Project

Ending our class unit of reading Julius Caesar we were assigned to do a project. My project was to depict the settings of the varioius scenes of the play. I used a tri-fold poster board to present my project. I started by thinking of memorable scenes from the play. I chose caesars death, the battle at Philipi, and Brutus and Mark Antony speaking at Caesars funeral. I then found images of the scenes, and of where the scenes would've taken place. The scenes would've taken place at the Capital of Rome, a podeum, and a battlefiled in Philipi. What I learned from my project was to relate what you read to real life places. Being able to compare the scene and the setting helped me to better understand the play.

Fears

Sharks!@#U%$^%#$%^#
Do you think your fears are rational? Do you think most people's fears are rational? What deserves our fear? Everyone has their own idea of what deserves fear. I think it is irrational to be afraid of something that would not have a way of harming you. An example of this would be having a fear of being attacked by a shark when you do not live close to an ocean. I think a lot of times peoples fears are irrational because they are things that are not very likely to happen.

Encourage

Everyone has someone who has encouraged them, but for me, the person who encouraged me was Ms. Richards. Ms. Richards was my science teacher for seventh and eigth grade. My eigth grade year was not very good, and Ms.Richards helped me throughout the year. When she saw how my year was going she wrote me a card telling me that she was always there for me; she also gave me a present. Her giving me this really showed me that she really did care about me, and that encouraged me to look on the bright side of things

Summer Reading Project

This is the project I did over the book I read over the summer. I read The Outsiders. My group and I did a presentation by using Voice Thread. We created it by recording our voice and having our voice play in the background as we showed a picture that explained our topic. Our topic was to compare characters. What I learned from this project is to try to relate characters from books I read to other things that I personally relate to.

I have made myself three goals for my freshman year of high school. My first goal is to remain a good student. I have many new repsonsibilities this year and I want to make sure I still focus on my grades. My second goal is to be a better athlete.I hope that being not only being on my school cheerleading squad, but also on a competitive squad,I will grow as a cheerleader. My last goal for freshman year is to meet plenty of new people and make new friends. Being new to DCA gives me the opprotunity to meet so many new people.
